Rancho Santa Fe’s Covenant: Luxury Real Estate and a Thriving Community

In a recent realtor.com survey, almost half of respondents suggested that they were considering buying a high-end luxury home – a commodity that the neighborhoods of Rancho Santa Fe is known to offer.

On the list of one of the highest income communities in the United States, Rancho Santa Fe Real Estate boasts incredible luxury homes accompanied by picturesque landscapes, numerous resources, and a thriving cultural community.

One of the centerpieces of the neighborhood is a community known as the “Covenant.” A registered California Historical Landmark, the Covenant exists on 6,200 acres of land, home to almost 1,700 households and families.

The Covenant has possessed a rich history from the very beginning. Originally an area of land set aside to support the growing of Eucalyptus trees, Rancho Santa Fe was eventually established as a rural residential community with an emphasis on agriculture and preserving the unique landscapes.

In 1927, the Rancho Santa Fe Association formed as a nonprofit organization and adopted a Protective Covenant to ensure the “preservation, maintenance, development and improvement of property,” in accordance with the wishes of property owners as well as in agreement with the general community plan.

Since then, the neighborhood has become the home of country estates, where about 5,000 residents have convenient access to the Del Mar and Solana beaches. Culture is abound, evidenced by the activities and events of a riding club, garden club, community center, art guild, library guild, book club, and horse trails.

Several parks and fields offer the perfect opportunity for organized youth sports, as well as family outings, celebrations and community events. The focal point of activity is the central village, which comfortably accommodates a variety of restaurants and shops, as well as banks and realtors.

No more than 30 minutes away are options for both public and private elementary, middle, and high schools. The district is highly regarded for its dedication to academic excellence and a wide variety of extracurricular programs for students, including sports, drama, and the arts.

Safety of the Covenant is regarded with utmost importance. The neighborhood boasts full-time private security patrol in addition to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and California Highway Patrol.

Just last month, the Covenant celebrated their newest property listing at 6550 Paseo Delicias with a launch party. The iconic property received 15 months of complete renovation, and is the first estate in the Cavaricci Collection. The Cavaricci Collection’s focus is to restore and enhance custom properties with “an entirely exciting, fresh, yet authentic design style” and plans to renovate several more properties in the Covenant community.

The party was hosted by listing agent Janet Lawless Christ. Matching the rest of Rancho Santa Fe’s efforts to give back to the community, the party acted as a fundraiser for the Covenant Golf Club’s Future Legends Scholarship Fund, a project for high-achieving but underserved college-bound students.

Through the Covenant alone, it is obvious that Rancho Santa Fe offers beautiful luxury homes in an equally gratifying setting, and it is easy to expect that the community will remain a highly sought out home for many.
